Lobivia arachnacantha

Lobivia arachnacantha is a compact, clustering cactus which can produce large 7cm flowers on a plant as small as 2cm in diameter. At 4-6cm across the plant grows to its full size, and can produce masses of offsets which can be easily removed to grow on their own. During the warmer months of the year the Lobivia arachnacantha can produce flowers regularly every few weeks. Different specimens can have flower colours from yellow, orange, white, violet, and shades of red. 

Like most cactus, Lobivia arachnacantha grows best in a gritty, well-draining mix which allows it's roots to dry in-between watering. This plant grows best in partial shade where it can get all the benefits of bright light without being scorched on hot days.
